On Friday, September 6, 2019, deputies from the Wasco City Substation served a search warrant in the 900 block of Tangerine Street. The warrant was related to a home invasion robbery that occurred on September 4, 2019 in the 3700 block of 7th Street in Wasco. On September 4, four men, three armed with tactical rifles and one with a handgun, forced their way into a residence and bound the residents. The suspects left with cash and property in an unknown type vehicle.
During the search of the residence, deputies located stolen property related to the robbery. They also located guns inside the residence. 24-year-old Jose Sanchez from Bakersfield, 20-year-old Leonardo Sanchez from Bakersfield, and 20-year-old Anna Salazar from Bakersfield were arrested. All suspects were charged with Robbery, Maintaining a Drug House, Conspiracy, Marijuana Sales, and Receiving/Possession of Stolen Property.
