VICTIM(S): Frank Vargas, 40-year-old male, resident of Chino, CA
SUMMARY: On Saturday, September 14, 2019, at 7:43 a.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Dispatch received a call of a possible body lying off the roadway in the Mount Baldy area. Emergency personnel from the fire department and deputies from the Fontana Sheriff's Station responded. They found the victim, Frank Vargas deceased. Vargas’s body was located down an embankment from a vehicle turnout on Mount Baldy Road, approximately 1 mile north of Ice House Canyon Road. Based on obvious signs of trauma to Vargas’s body and physical evidence at the scene, deputies contacted homicide detectives.
Detectives are seeking the public’s help.
