Wilmington Police arrest five juveniles, recover stolen firearm:

Wilmington Police have arrested five juveniles – two on gun charges – following a trespassing complaint.

On September 7 at approximately 5:48 p.m., police responded to the 2600 block of North Tatnall Street regarding a complaint of subjects trespassing. Police located five juveniles, and recovered a loaded .45-caliber handgun – which had been reported stolen out of West Virginia – and ammunition.

All five juveniles were taken into custody without incident.

Two of the juveniles – a 16-year-old male and a 15-year-old male – have been charged with the following offenses:

  • Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
  • Carrying a Concealed Firearm
  • Receiving a Stolen Firearm
  • Criminal Trespassing
They were both arraigned in New Castle County Family Court and given $26,000 secured bail.

The other three juveniles – a 16-year-old male, a 14-year-old male and a 12-year-old male – were charged with criminal trespassing. They were each arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $1,000 unsecured bail.
