Wilmington Police recover firearm, make arrest after aggravated menacing incident:

Wilmington Police have arrested and charged a 48-year-old man in connection with an aggravated menacing incident.
 
On August 30 at approximately 8:21 a.m., police were dispatched to the 600 block of North Van Buren Street in reference to a road rage and aggravated menacing incident. Arriving officers located 48-year-old Michael Lacy, who fled from the scene and discarded a loaded .22-caliber revolver from his vehicle.
 
Police recovered his vehicle a short time later in the 1500 block of West 11th Street, and subsequently located Lacy at a residence in the 600 block of North Harrison Street. He was taken into custody without incident.
 
Lacy has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Aggravated Menacing
  • Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited (Two Counts)
  • Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution pending further proceedings.
