Pedestrian killed in Chino Hills traffic collision

LOCATION: Eucalyptus Avenue at the intersection with Galloping Hills Road, Chino Hills, CA 91709
VICTIM(S): 31-year-old female (pending next of kin notification)
SUMMARY: On Saturday, September 14, 2019 at approximately 8:45 PM, deputies with the Chino Hills Police Station responded to the intersection of Eucalyptus Avenue and Galloping Hills Road for reports of a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. When deputies arrived on scene they located a 31-year-old female in the street who had been struck by a vehicle driving east on Eucalyptus Avenue. The pedestrian sustained major trauma and was later pronounced deceased at Pomona Valley Medical Center. The driver of the vehicle, a 24-year-old female resident of Chino Hills, remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation. The driver was uninjured and it does not appear intoxication is a factor in the collision. Deputies with the Sheriff's Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team responded to the scene and are completing the investigation.
