On September 03, 2019 a three year old male was rushed to a local hospital after becoming non-responsive in a residence in the 20700 block of Hunt Club Street. Harper Woods Department of Public Safety Officers were on scene and at the hospital where they were advised by medical personnel that the three year old sustained significant trauma to his head consistent with child abuse. The three year old was rushed into surgery for his injuries.
Harper Woods Detectives initiated an immediate investigation which resulted in the arrest of CHRISTOPHER SOLOMON WILLIAMS. WILLIAMS was the live-in boyfriend of the victim's mother and caring for the three year old the day of the incident while the mother was running errands. WILLIAMS had recently moved from Las Vegas.
On September 13, 2019 CHRISTOPHER SOLOMON WILLIAMS was arraigned and formally charged with Child Abuse First Degree in 32-A District Court in front of Judge Daniel S. Palmer. Judge Palmer set bond at $150,000.00 cash. WILLIAMS has a Preliminary Examination date scheduled for October 02, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in 32-A District Court. If convicted, WILLIAMS faces up to life in prison.
The three year old victim is in stable condition recovering at a local hospital.
