Suspect Arrested in Connection to String of Robberies in Pomona

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office has filed the below charges against the suspect
8 felony counts of 211PC- Robbery
4 felony counts of 664/211PC- Attempted Robbery
1 felony count of 245(a)(1)PC- Assault with a Deadly Weapon
ORIGINAL PRESS RELEASE
The Pomona Police Department is pleased to announce an arrest has been made relating to the recent series of robberies which occurred between July 29th- September 8th 2019 in and around the City of Pomona. During this time, numerous reports were received which had similar suspect descriptions. The suspect targeted similar businesses such as cell phone stores, fueling stations with mini marts, and insurance offices. All of these locations were located within the same geographical area, which lead investigators to believe the suspect was a local resident.
The Pomona Police Departments’ Detective Bureau with the assistance of the Pomona Police Departments’ Special Investigations Unit, were able to successfully determine the suspects’ identity and prevent further victimization of the community.
At this time, the suspect’s identity is being withheld and the investigation remains on-going.
