Press Release

Over the last few months Corcoran Police has responded to at least four calls in regards to possible overdoses related to a particular pill. In these instances these individuals were successfully treated with NARCAN.
Investigators have learned that this has been occurring in other jurisdictions as well and we believe that there is a specific pill at the source. This pill is round and blue in color. It contains the letter “M” in a square on one side and the number “30” on the opposite side. It is apparently being sold as oxycodone on the streets. However, we do not believe that these pills contain oxycodone hydrochloride. Rather they contain fentanyl, leading to the major health risk.
Those who suffered from an overdose admitted to taking a half or whole pill prior to. The local origin is unknown, but the distribution appears to be widespread.
It’s never safe to take medication whose origin you are uncertain of or medication not prescribed to you. Fentanyl is very dangerous and has also been found in other counterfeit drugs as well as heroin and powdered cocaine.
