September 2nd

Commercial Burglary (Happy Cleaners & Laundry) 7509 Fairmount Ave. /(Tower Cleaners) 7533 Fairmount Ave.
At 7:21 am, an officer responded to the report of two dry cleaning businesses being burglarized. An unidentified suspect shattered the front glass door and made entry into the stores. Once inside, the suspect rifled the cash boxes.

Residential Burglary – 200 block of Ashbury Avenue:
At 8:40 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect entered the victim’s home by breaking a rear window. Once inside the residence, the suspect conducted a ransack of the house taking various items.

Warrant Arrest – 11400 block of San Pablo Avenue:
At 8:21 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the passenger, a 30-year-old female, for an outstanding warrant. The female was identified and cited in the field.

Drunk in Public – 100 block of Carmel Avenue:
At 10:00 pm and officer reports the arrest of a 50-year-old male who was heavily intoxicated. The male was causing a disturbance in the street and being belligerent. The male was placed under arrest and transported to the country jail.

September 3rd

Residential Burglary 7300 block of Lynn Ave:
At 12:37 pm, an officer responded to the report of a residential burglary. An unidentified suspect entered through an open window and stole property in between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm.

Stolen Vehicle Recovery:
At 12:37 pm, a parking enforcement officer checked on an abandoned auto and found it was reported stolen. A 1992 Nissan truck was recovered.

September 4th

Vandalism – 10000 block of San Pablo Avenue:
At 10:45 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect shattered a rear window to the victim’s rental car.

September 5th

Auto Burglary: 2100 block of Pinehurst Ct:
At 11:08 am, an officer was dispatched to the report of an auto burglary. An unidentified suspect smashed the window to a RAV4 and stole items, sometime overnight.

Stolen Vehicle 1300 block of Liberty St
At 11:06 am, an officer reported the theft of a red 2009 Hyundai Elantra some time overnight.

Robbery Walgreen’s 11565 San Pablo Ave:
At 12:17 pm, an officer responded to the report of a shoplifting. The suspect stole misc. skin treatment products and fled. The manager attempted to block the suspect but was who shoved away.

Drunk in Public and Brandishing – BART Path and Hill Street:
At 9:45 pm, officers were dispatched to a male who brandished a knife at a jogger. The jogger flagged down an officer and told him where the crime had occurred. Officers located the suspect, a 26-year-old male, on the BART path near Hill Street and detained him. The male was later identified and then taken into custody. The male was also heavily intoxicated. The male was booked and then taken to the county jail.

September 6th

Petty Theft – 400 block of Bonnie Dr:
At 2:47 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect stole a set of house keys which had been left in the front door by the victim.

Stolen Vehicle – 6600 block of Barrett Ave:
At 4:57 pm, an officer reports the victim’s vehicle was stolen sometime during the night and was located by the Richmond Police Department.

Fraud – 7100 block of Plank Ave:
At 3:26 pm, an officer reports the victim was contacted by a suspect who convinced the victim to send money for an overdue bill. The victim unwittingly sent the money before realizing the situation was a scam.

Stolen Vehicle – San Pablo Avenue near Fairmount Avenue:
An officer responded to report that the victim’s car was stolen between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm today.

Drug Possession – Lincoln Avenue and Lexington Avenue:
An officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and ended up locating methamphetamine in the pockets of the driver. He was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and released with a citation.

September 7th

Auto Burglary – 900 block of Pomona Ave:
At 8:25 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke the window to the victim’s vehicle and ransacked the interior; however, nothing was taken.

Vandalism – 1000 El Cerrito Plaza (Luckys):
At 8:26 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke a bottle of liquor as they were attempting to conceal the item in their jacket.

Residential Burglary – 3400 block of Carlson Blvd:
At 9:11 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect entered an unlocked residence sometime during the evening and removed several items from the living room.

Auto Burglary – 500 block of Norvell St:
At 1:04 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect used a tool to make entry into the victim’s vehicle and stole property.

Auto Burglary – 10140 San Pablo Ave (HK Home Kitchen):
At 2:07 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke the window to the victim’s vehicle and removed a laptop computer.

Battery – 2500 block of Tassajara Ave:
At 4:21 pm, an officer reports that a juvenile was injured during an argument between two adult family members after the incident turned physical.

Grand Theft – 5200 block of Cypress Avenue:
An officer responded to the report of items being stolen out of an unlocked vehicle.

Burglary – 4010 El Cerrito Plaza (AT&T):
At 12:58 am officer responded to the store for the burglar alarm going off. When they arrived, they found someone had broken a window and went inside and stole several cellular telephones from inside.

September 8th

Stolen Vehicle – 800 block of Arlington Blvd:
At 8:59 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect stole the victim’s motorcycle, which was parked in front of his residence.

Auto Burglary – 3200 block of Carlson Blvd:
At 12:40 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke the window to the victim’s vehicle and removed a plastic bag containing several bottles of water.

Attempted Vehicle Theft, Possession of Burglary Tools – 10700 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 2:54 pm, an officer reports the arrest of a 45-year-old male and a 41-year-old female after the pair were found trying to steal a vehicle from a business parking lot. The male was also found to be in possession of burglary tools. The couple was transported to the El Cerrito Police Department, and the woman was later released. The man was then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Auto Burglary – 11511 San Pablo Avenue (IHOP):
At 4:07 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke the window to the victim’s vehicle and stole property.

Drug possession – 500 block of Ashbury Avenue:
An officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and found methamphetamine, heroin, and brass knuckles during a probation search of the vehicle. The passenger was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Warrant – 6009 Potrero Avenue (Mira Vista Motel):
An officer contacted two people sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot of the hotel and found one of them had an outstanding warrant. She was arrested, issued a citation, and released at the scene.

September 9th

Auto Burglary – 11450 San Pablo Avenue (Safeway):
At 9:35 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke the window to the victim’s vehicle and stole a piece of luggage.

Auto Burglary – 11511 San Pablo Avenue (IHOP):
At 10:07 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke the window to the victim’s vehicle and entered the trunk where a gym bag was stolen.

Auto Burglary – 11511 San Pablo Avenue (IHOP):
At 11:28 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke the window to the victim’s vehicle and stole luggage.

Auto Burglary – 200 El Cerrito Plaza:
An officer reports that between 3:45 pm and 5:15 pm an unknown suspect broke a window to the victim’s vehicle and removed a small suitcase. A resident in the City of Albany, near the El Cerrito Plaza, reported that they found the suitcase in front of their house. The suitcase was recovered and returned to the owner.
