Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office Investigating Homicide 
On 9/10/19 at approximately 3 a.m. the California Highway Patrol, Fire and Ambulance personnel were dispatched to a report of a vehicle accident near the intersection of S. Mitchell Rd. and August Rd., near the Merced County Line. Upon arrival they located a deceased male in the crashed vehicle with at least one gunshot wound. Life saving measures were performed, however, the male died on scene.
The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Crimes Against Person Team responded to the scene and took over the investigation. They have identified the victim as Miguel Angel Celestino-Garcia (30) from Atwater.
