August 27th
Stolen Vehicle- 8500 block Betty Lane:
At 12:42 pm, an officer reported the theft of a 2019 Ford F250 work truck with a utility bed and a black rack. The Ford was left with the keys in it.
Forgery-9996 San Pablo Ave:
At 3:31 pm, an officer contacted a 47-year-old, Huntington Beach man during a forgery investigation. He was attempting to cash a check on a closed account. The man was released in the field with a citation.
Burglary -600 block of Colusa Ave:
At 3:16 pm, an officer responded to the report of a ransack burglary. In between 10:00 and 11:00 am, the elderly victim was gone from her residence when an unidentified suspect ransacked the interior.
Warrant Arrest – San Pablo Avenue and Wall Avenue:
At 12:43 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested a 40-year-old female from Antioch for two outstanding warrants. The female was booked then transported to the county jail.
Preventing call to police – 400 block of Kearney Street:
At 3:34 am, officers responded to a disturbance with someone breaking items in a home. The victim reports her husband became angry and stated he would hit the victim if she called the police for help. The suspect fled the scene before police arrival.
August 28th
Armed Robbery – Exxon 10602 San Pablo Ave:
At 11:47 am, an officer responded to the Exxon gas station on the report of a robbery that occurred on Sunday, 08-23-2019 around 3:00 am. At that time, an employee was accosted by an armed suspect who entered the store and removed cash from the register.
August 29th
Auto Burglary – 1600 block of Arlington Blvd:
At 1:34 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect shattered the front passenger window of the victim’s vehicle and removed a stereo and souvenirs.
August 30th
Warrant Arrest – San Pablo Avenue / Blake Street
At 10:30 am, an officer spotted a 62-year-old male transient who had a $50,000.00 ECPD warrant for his arrest. The male was arrested and transported to the County Jail in Martinez.
Attempted Robbery – 7500 block of Fairmount Avenue (Fat Apples)
At 12:10 pm, the victim reports that at approximately 5:15 am, he was approached by a suspect near the El Cerrito Plaza BART station, who demanded money from him. The victim could see what he believed was a knife in the suspect’s pocket, but no weapon was brandished. The victim then ran to work, and the suspect gave chase. At the business, the victim’s co-workers confronted the suspect who ran off.
Vandalism – 2200 block of Arlington Blvd:
At 11:18 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke the front window of the victim’s residence with a BB gun.
Vandalism – 1100 block of Arlington Blvd:
At 11:25 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke a window on the victim’s vehicle with a BB gun.
Vandalism – 900 block of Arlington Blvd:
At 11:27 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke a front window to the victim’s residence with a BB gun.
Vandalism – 5400 block of Barrett Ave:
At 11:36, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke a window on the victim’s vehicle with a BB gun.
Vandalism – 1700 block of Arlington Blvd:
At 11:40 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke a window on the victim’s vehicle with a BB gun.

At 11:56 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke a window on the victim’s vehicle with a BB gun.
August 31st
Drunk In Public – Central Ave/ Oak St:
At 1:44 am, an officer assisted the El Cerrito Fire Department with a male subject that was passed out on the center median. The 35-year-old Richmond man was not suffering from any medical emergencies but decided to take a nap on the median because he was intoxicated. The male refused to go to the hospital and was subsequently arrested because he was unable to care for himself. The male was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle – Madera Dr/Madera Cir:
At 4:43 am, an officer located a vehicle that was reported stolen to the ECPD on 08/27/19.
Vandalism to Auto – 2500 block of Arlington Boulevard
At 9:17 am, an officer discovered that a window to the victim’s Toyota Corolla was broken sometime during the night, possibly by an air gun projectile. The incident occurred sometime between 7:32 pm last night and 9:17 am this morning.
Vandalism to Auto – 5300 block of Barrett Avenue
At 9:27 am, officers discovered a window to the victim’s Toyota Camry was broken sometime during the night, possibly by an air gun projectile. The incident occurred sometime between 5 pm last night to 9:27 am this morning.
Residential Burglary – 5500 block of Zara Avenue
At 11:16 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect forced open a kitchen window to the residence and removed a computer and other electronics. This incident occurred sometime between midnight and 10:30 am.
Vandalism to Auto – 900 block of Arlington Boulevard
At 12:04 pm, an officer discovered a Honda Civic with a broken window that appeared to have been caused by an air gun projectile.
Vandalism to Auto – 1400 block of Navellier Street
At 4:39 pm, an officer reports an air gun projectile broke the window to the victim's Honda Civic sometime during the night. The incident occurred sometime between 9 pm to 10 am this morning.
September 1st
Warrant Arrest – Potrero Ave/Liberty St:
At 1:54 am, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle and discovered the driver, a 29-year-old Oakland man, had a $25,000 warrant for his arrest from San Bernardino County. The male was arrested and released with a citation.
Arrest for DUI/ Collision Investigation – Terrace Drive / Balra Drive
At 8:19 am, officers responded to a report of a vehicle collision with the driver and passenger asleep inside the vehicle. Officers contacted a 45-year-old male from San Lorenzo who was exhibiting several objective signs of intoxication. An officer escorted the male to Kaiser Richmond, where he was treated. The male was released to the care of the hospital and received a citation for DUI.
Arrest for Shoplifting – 11565 San Pablo Avenue (Walgreens)
At 2:44 pm, an officer contacted a 54-year-old female from Oakland inside the business while responding to a call of a suspicious person. The female had selected products and attempted to return the merchandise for cash. The female also had a significant amount of merchandise concealed on her person, which she did not to pay for. The female was placed under citizen’s arrest, booked at the El Cerrito Police Department, and released with a citation.
Drunk in Public – 5010 El Cerrito Plaza (Rubios)
At 4:45 pm, officers responded to the El Cerrito Plaza for a report of an intoxicated male who was bothering patrons from several businesses. Officers located a 24-year-old transient male who was drunk and aggressive towards officers. The male was arrested and transported to the El Cerrito Police Department.
