Deputies from the Specialized Enforcement Division arrest Patrick Coleman of Adelanto for the Murder of Joel Lopez

LOCATION: 11300 block of Bartlett Avenue, Adelanto
SUSPECT: Patrick Coleman, age 40 a resident of Adelanto
VICTIM: Joel Lopez, age 29 a resident of Adelanto
SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at approximately 7:10 p.m., deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the report of a shooting that had just occurred in the 11300 block of Bartlette Aveue. Upon arrival, deputies located the victim, later identified as Joel Lopez, suffering from an apparent gun shot wound. Emergency medical personnel arrived and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
Sheriff’s Specialized Investigators, Homicide Detail responded to conduct the investigation.
Through investigation, the suspect was identified to be Patrick Coleman. Deputies from the Specialized Enforcement Division (SED) where requested to assist in locating the suspect.
On Thursday, September 5th, Patrick Coleman was arrested at a residence in Adelanto. Coleman was transported and booked into the Central Detention Center for PC 187 Murder.
