SMPD Investigating Theft of Multiple Items from the Hillsdale Apple Store - Suspects are Outstanding, Investigation Continues
San Mateo, CA – On today’s date (9/5/19) at 9:01pm, SMPD was notified about a theft that just occurred at the Apple Store in our city. Three African-American males disguising their faces entered the store and stole approximately 40 Apple products. A suspect vehicle description, white four-door sedan, was provided by witnesses as the suspects fled the area. Officers arrived on scene within two minutes, canvassed the area, and broadcast information to surrounding agencies. Soon after, the suspect vehicle was located and pursued by Brisbane Police Department as it traveled northbound HWY 101 towards San Francisco. As the pursuit reached HWY 80, the California Highway Patrol took over the pursuit and lost sight of the suspect vehicle on the Bay Bridge as it passed the incline.
