* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Northwestern Atlantic County in southern New Jersey... Camden County in southern New Jersey... Northeastern Gloucester County in southern New Jersey... Southern Burlington County in southern New Jersey...

* Until 900 PM EDT.

* At 803 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Voorhees, or 9 miles southeast of Gloucester City, moving east at 20 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Wind damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible.

* Locations impacted include... Evesham, Deptford, Voorhees, Lindenwold, Hammonton, Bellmawr, Woodbury, Berlin, Tabernacle, Shamong, Magnolia, Westville, Egg Harbor City, Woodbury Heights, Chesilhurst, Elwood-Magnolia, Atsion, Wharton State Forest, Batsto and Sicklerville. This includes the following highways... Atlantic City Expressway between mile markers 29 and 44. Interstate 295 in New Jersey between mile markers 25 and 26, and between mile markers 28 and 33. New Jersey Turnpike near exit 3.

Instructions:

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. In addition to large hail and damaging winds, frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
