Information regarding Traffic Crash from Reid Street Aug 30, 2019 
On Friday August 30, 2019 (7:42 PM) The Marion Police Department was called to investigate a single vehicle traffic crash that occurred on Reid Street, just south of the Stroud Street intersection. This traffic crash was involving a motorcycle that was being operated by 34 year old Jeremy Keith Bartlett (Marion).
Witnesses stated that the motorcycle was seen travelling North on Reid Street at a high rate of speed. The motorcycle then left the right side of the roadway and came to rest down an embankment.
Personnel from the Marion Fire Department and McDowell County Rescue Squad (Station 97) responded to the area and assisted Officers in the investigation. McDowell County EMS personnel transported Bartlett to Mission Hospital in Asheville where he was admitted.
Bartlett was listed in critical condition at last communication with family and medical staff.
