As families prepare their routines for ensuring their children make it to school safely and on time, please plan accordingly and drive cautiously! The SPD asks that you consider the following:
- Speak to your children about traffic and school safety
- Give yourself plenty of time to arrive at your destination
- Obey the speed limits, especially in school zones
- Stop for school buses displaying red flashing lights and "Stop Signs"
- Be aware of school crossing guards and obey their instructions
- Understand your schools vehicle drop off procedures
- Avoid parking in restricted areas surrounding schools
The SPD wishes everyone a successful and safe 2019-2020 school year!
