REQUESTING ASSISTANCE IN IDENTIFYING A CREDIT CARD FRAUD SUSPECT

HOLLISTER, CALIFORNIA – August 26th, 2019– The Hollister Police Department is investigating a reported credit card fraud, and is requesting the public’s assistance.

On August 17th, a Hollister resident came forward reporting that the evening before he had lost his wallet somewhere in the 1700 block of Airline Highway. The wallet contained his personal identification documents, as well as several institutional financial cards.

After discovering that his wallet was missing, the victim learned that several fraudulent credit card transactions were performed using his credit card at local establishments.

After taking the initial report, officers were able to follow up at those businesses and found surveillance footage of the suspect performing several of those criminal transactions. In total, the subject attempted or performed at least 5 transactions at two different establishments. The suspect’s identity is not known at this time.

The Hollister Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in the above photograph.
