Full Notification

We are currently receiving several complaints concerning an ongoing telephone scam.  The suspects are calling from (424) 301-6278 and are claiming to be one of our police captain's.  The suspects are stating they are with the Manhattan Beach Police Department and are claiming you will be arrested if you don’t send them money.  This is a scam.  Do not send money, gift cards or anything they are asking for.  The Manhattan Beach Police Department will never call you telling you to send money or else you'll be incarcerated.  The MBPD cannot stop these scammers from calling so please immediately block their phone numbers.  Again, this is a SCAM.  Do not send them money, gift cards or anything else.
