INCIDENT:  2019-20026  Burglary (Residential) & Criminal Mischief
 
DATE & TIME OCCURRED:  8/02/19  between 2 PM & 3:15 PM (Reported 8/03/19)
 
LOCATION OCCURRED:  Residence in Village Grande development
 
OFFICER:  Ptl. B. Mahon #564                       
 
DETAILS:  Ptl. Mahon was detailed to a residential burglary in the Village Grande development. Investigation determined the following. While the resident was away from her home in the afternoon, someone pried and damaged a window screen to get to the unlocked window behind it. Entry was made through the window, drawers and closets were opened, and some smaller items were moved around, but nothing was known to have been taken.

Arrested: Anaiya J. Fitzgerald, Black female, 32 years old
                Resident of Trenton, NJ 08611

DETAILS:  Patrol units were detailed to Target for a shoplifting in progress. Prior to police arrival, store Assets Protection had already detained Anaiya Fitzgerald. Investigation determined that Fitzgerald had concealed clothing and a smart phone case in her backpack. She paid for a small item, but did not pay for anything that she put in her backpack. Fitzgerald was also found to have two warrants for her arrest from Ewing. Fitzgerald was processed at WWPD Headquarters. She was released pending future Court dates in West Windsor and Ewing.

DATE & TIME OCCURRED:  8/03/19  at  10:27 PM  (Reported 8/05/19)
 
LOCATION OCCURRED:  Shell gas station, 74 Princeton-Hightstown Rd.
 
WHO: (ARRESTED, INJURED, DRIVER, VICTIM, OTHER)
Suspect: Black male with a bald head, mustache and beard wearing a black T-Shirt

DETAILS:  Sgt. Loretucci investigated a burglary and theft at the Shell gas station where the following was determined: The black male suspect entered into the unlocked waiting room of the main building that was closed to the public at the time. The suspect then went through a sliding door to go into the automotive garage, and then into a private back office where he stole 37 cartons of cigarettes and other items that were put into a large box and carried out.

INCIDENT:  2019-20280  Possession of Marijuana Under 50 Grams
                                             Possession of CDS Paraphernalia

LOCATION OCCURRED:  U.S. Route 1 and Harrison St.

Arrested: Yoseph C. Hakakian, White male, 22 years old
                Resident of Highland Park, NJ 08904
 
OFFICER:  Ptl. M. Erkoboni #5102    
 
DETAILS:  Ptl. Erkoboni initiated a stop on a black Toyota sedan for speeding, an unsafe lane change, and for an obstructed windshield. During the stop, a passenger in the vehicle, Yoseph Hakakian, was found to be in possession of under 50 grams of marijuana vegetation, a vaporizer pen with THC oil, and marijuana dabs, in addition to packages of rolling papers. Hakakian was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at West Windsor Municipal Court.

DATE & TIME OCCURRED:  8/01/19  at  12:00 PM (Reported on 8/07/19)

OFFICER:  Ptl. E. McQuade #597                        
 
DETAILS:  Ptl. McQuade investigated a theft by deception where the following occurred: The victims attempted to purchase a golden retriever puppy through an online site called, “Jovial Golden Retrievers”. They were first asked to pay for the cost of the puppy which they sent via “Zelle”, a money transfer app. Next they were instructed to pay for a special shipping crate which was refundable. And finally, they were asked to pay for pet insurance which they were told was partially refundable. All the payments were made separately utilizing Zelle, but the puppy was never delivered and the phone lines used to contact the seller were no longer in service.

Arrested: Dawan T. Riddick, Black male, 31 years old
                Resident of Old Bridge, NJ 08857
 
OFFICER:  Ptl. N. Cuomo #582     
 
DETAILS:  Patrol units were detailed to a motor vehicle crash on U.S. Route 1 and Washington Rd. involving four vehicles. Prior to police arrival, Dawan Riddick who was a passenger in the vehicle which caused the crash, left the scene. He was located on Washington Rd. and determined to have a warrant for his arrest from Woodbridge, NJ. Riddick was processed at WWPD Headquarters. Woodbridge police later took custody of Riddick.
