Flood Advisory until 08:45PM

The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a

* Flood Advisory for... South central St. Louis County in east central Missouri...

* Until 845 PM CDT.

* At 543 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... St. Louis, Webster Groves, Arnold, Crestwood, Sunset Hills, Shrewsbury, Fenton, Lakeshire, Affton, Lemay, Mehlville, Oakville, Green Park, Marlborough, St. George, Grantwood Village, Bella Villa, Wilbur Park, Mackenzie and Concord. This includes Interstate 44 in Missouri between exits 276 and 277 as well as Interstate 270 and Interstate 55 in south St. Louis County.

* AFFECTED AREAS: ST. LOUIS, MO

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
