A felony probationer from Riverside Co. led deputies on a pursuit and was later captured at the Moreno Valley Mall

SUSPECT: Ruben Flores III, 30-years-old from Indio
SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at approximately 2:32 p.m., Deputy Jacob Foyil from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department was conducting a routine traffic stop in the area of Church St. and Ramona Ave. As Deputy Foyil made contact with the driver, the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed. The deputy pursued the vehicle, but due to the extreme recklessness of the suspect vehicle the pursuit was terminated, and the driver evaded capture.
Deputies from the Multiple Enforcement Team assisted with the investigation and identified the driver as Ruben Flores III. Flores is on felony probation out of Riverside County and was scheduled to surrender on Friday, August 16, 2019 to serve 16 months in state prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
On August 16, 2019, Flores was located at the Moreno Valley Mall in the City of Moreno Valley. With assistance from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department-Moreno Valley Station, Flores was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for felony evading.
