ARRAIGNMENT/BAIL STATUS: Sharpe was held at Amsterdam Police Headquarters for arraignment in Amsterdam City Court.
INCIDENT NARRATIVE: As a result of the ongoing investigation into the shooting that occurred on Tuesday on Church Street in Amsterdam 19 year-old Israel E. Sharpe of Amsterdam was taken into custody on an arrest warrant signed by the Honorable Lisa W. Lorman on August 14th at approximately 8:00 p.m. for his involvement in the incident. Sharpe was found hiding in the basement of a residence on East Main Street in Amsterdam.
