Investigators of the Jackson Police Department are investigating a Theft of Property from Kroger, 35 W. University Parkway and need assistance identifying this person of interest.
On August 8th, a black male wearing a ball cap, dark colored shirt, pants, and shoes is captured on surveillance video stealing a purse from a shopping cart. Also, the suspect in the theft may have been wearing a smock. Video shows the suspect entering the store, taking the purse, and exiting the store all within one minute.
The purse was recovered in a nearby dumpster. However, $500 cash, an uncashed insurance check, and a cell phone were also taken from the purse.
