UPDATE:
 
Due to weather delays, crack sealing and chip sealing are now expected to be completed tomorrow, Thursday, August 15^th, weather permitting.
 
In addition, another pavement maintenance process called fiber mat is scheduled to be applied to several streets, tomorrow and Friday, August 16^th.

There will be temporary traffic interruptions while work is occurring on each street, and flaggers will direct drivers accordingly.
 
For streets with on-street parking, temporary no parking signs will be installed during the afternoon of the day before work is expected to begin. All vehicles must be removed from these streets in order for the work to be completed in an efficient manner.
 
Please note that part of the chip sealing and fiber mat process will leave behind some loose stone. This stone will be collected by the City’s street sweeper over the course of the next week or so, and recycled for other uses in the future.
 
Crack sealing, fiber mat, and chip sealing are forms of pavement maintenance, and are an integral part of the City’s pavement management program which is designed to maximize the life of the pavement.
