Due to the increase of farm equipment being stolen from the farmland areas of Kern County, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Rural Crime Investigation Unit placed equipment under electronic surveillance near the area of Millux Road and N. Rancho Drive in Arvin, CA. On August 13, 2019, Rural Crime Detectives were notified the equipment had been stolen. Detectives tracked the equipment to the 900 of Cadmus Court in Arvin, CA. During the investigation, Detectives contacted 32 year old Michael Pacheco of Arvin. Pacheco was arrested for PC 487(a), grand theft and booked into the Central Receiving Facility.
