August 9th

Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 1000 block of Villa Nueva Dr:
At 8:46 am, an officer located a blue Honda Civic which had been reported as a stolen vehicle to the Berkeley Police Department several days prior. The owner of the vehicle met with the officer and took possession of the vehicle.

Shoplifting – 6000 El Cerrito Plaza (Bed, Bath & Beyond):
At 9:04 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect entered the business and selected pieces of merchandise before exiting the store without providing payment.

Strong Arm Robbery – 5920 Cutting Blvd (Jack-in-the-Box):
At 10:57 am, an officer reports two unknown suspects approached an employee who was exiting the business to make a bank deposit. The suspects took the deposit bag from the employee before entering a vehicle and driving off.

Petty Theft – 500 block of Liberty St:
At 11:34 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect was invited into the victim’s home and while inside removed pictures and collectible items.

Vandalism – 3200 block of Carlson Blvd:
At 11:50 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect used an unknown object to damage all of the tires on the victim’s parked vehicle.

Auto Burglary – 11511 San Pablo Ave (IHOP):
At 1:46 pm, an officer reports two unknown suspects broke the window to the victim’s vehicle and removed several travel bags containing clothing and personal items.

Robbery – 10650 San Pablo Ave (CVS):
At 5:49 pm, an officer reports an unknown woman entered the business and began to damage merchandise while concealing additional merchandise in her backpack. When an employee confronted the woman and attempted to collect the property, the woman shoved the employee and walked off.

August 10th

Warrant Arrest – 10900 San Pablo Ave (El Cerrito PD):
At 3:22 pm, an officer reports the arrest of a 39-year-old male who came to the police department to turn himself. The man was later transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Residential Burglary – 10800 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 5:01 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect entered the victim’s apartment by unknown means and stole a television two weeks prior.

Auto Burglary – 10020 San Pablo Ave:
An officer reports an unknown suspect broke the window to the victim’s vehicle and stole a briefcase. The briefcase was later found in the 1000 block of Liberty Street.

Driving Under the Influence – San Pablo Ave/Ohio Ave:
An officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle and subsequently arrested the driver for DUI. The driver was arrested, booked at ECPD, and released to a sober relative.

August 11th

Obstructing/Resisting a Peace Officer – 1000 block of Richmond St:
At 02:45am, officers responded to the area for the report of a male yelling in the street. When officers arrived, the male ran away from them. A short foot pursuit was initiated, and the male was apprehended by officers a short distance later. The 15-year old suspect was arrested and booked at ECPD. While at ECPD, the juvenile told officers that he ingested narcotics earlier in the night and was not feeling well. The juvenile’s family was notified and he was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

Stolen Vehicle – 300 block of Ramona Ave:
At 7:58 am, an officer reports the victim’s silver Honda Civic was stolen from in front of their residence sometime during the evening.

Warrant Arrest – 10200 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 9:30pm, an officer reports the arrest of a 56-year old Oakland man who had two non-citable warrants. He was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

August 12th

Grand Theft – 10078 San Pablo Ave (Hi Tech Car Audio):
At 11:23 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and removed a cell phone.

Petty Theft – 11450 San Pablo Ave (Safeway):
At 2:28 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect removed the victim’s wallet from her purse while she was shopping. The victim later learned that credit cards from her stolen walled were used at a nearby retail store.

Auto Burglary – 3200 block of Carlson Boulevard:
At 3:54 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke the driver side wing window to the victim’s vehicle and removed several pieces of clothing.

Grand Theft – 500 block of Ashbury Ave:
An officer reports the catalytic converter was stolen from the victim’s 2007 Toyota Prius between 08/06/19-08/07/19.

Commercial Burglary – 10636 San Pablo Ave (24-Hour Fitness):
At 9:19pm, an officer reports that an unknown suspect broke into a locker in the women’s locker room and stole the victim’s purse containing her cell phone.
