Petty Theft – 3090 El Cerrito Plaza (Starbucks):
At 7:46 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect grabbed the tip jar from inside the business and ran out of the door and into the parking lot.

Auto Burglary – 174 El Cerrito Plaza (Burger IM):
At 3:52 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke the window to the victim’s vehicle and removed a backpack containing a laptop computer.

Battery – 900 block of Avis Dr:
At 5:14 pm, an officer reports the detention of two juvenile females after the pair was placed under Citizen’s Arrest for battery. The two juveniles were released to guardians at the scene.

Warrant – San Pablo Avenue at Cutting Blvd:
An officer made a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle and discovered the driver had three outstanding arrest warrants issued by San Bernardino County. The driver was arrested, booked at ECPD, and then issued a citation for the warrants.

Driving Under the Influence – Central Avenue at Carlson Blvd:
An officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle and subsequently arrested the driver for DUI. The driver was arrested, booked at ECPD, and released to a sober family member.

An officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle and subsequently arrested the driver for DUI. The driver was arrested, booked at ECPD, and released to a sober family member.

August 3rd

Petty Theft – 9895 San Pablo Ave (Peets Coffee):
At 9:50 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect grabbed the tip jar from inside the business and ran out of the door and into the parking lot.

Theft from Unlocked Auto – 1200 block of Everett St:
At 11:05 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and removed a laptop computer sometime during the evening.

Residential Burglary – 7300 block of Lynn Ave:
At 4:22 pm, an officer reports a group of unknown suspects forced open a door to a residence and removed coins and jewelry at approximately 3:45 pm.

Stolen Vehicle – 2600 block of Tulare Avenue:
An officer responded for the report of a vehicle being stolen. The officer reported an unknown suspect stole the victim’s 1997 Honda.

August 4th

Stolen Vehicle Recovery – 6400 Manila Ave (DMV):
At 10:35 am, an officer located a green Honda Civic parked on the street which had been reported stolen to the Berkeley Police Department on July 27th.

Shoplifting – 10650 San Pablo Ave (CVS):
At 10:56 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect selected ear buds from a merchandise display and exited the store without providing payment.

Residential Burglary – 1800 block of Arlington Blvd:
At 1:58 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect forced open a door with a tool and stole jewelry and electronics from inside the home sometime between 10:30 am and 1:45 pm.

Grand Theft – 1800 block of Key Blvd:
At 2:18 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect entered an open garage to a residence and removed a bicycle. The theft occurred between 9:30 pm and 10:00 pm the night earlier.
