At 2:27 pm this afternoon, HWDPS officers responded to Elkhart and Lansdowne on reports of multiple gunshots being fired. Upon arrival, officers were informed by witnesses that two vehicles were involved and they both fled the scene before police arrived. Officers canvased the area and located one of the vehicles in the City of Detroit. HWDPS officers have one person detained.
Officers recovered numerous shell casings at the scene. At this time, we have no reported victims or damage from the gunfire.
