The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Northern Atlantic County in southern New Jersey... Northwestern Ocean County in southern New Jersey... Southeastern Camden County in southern New Jersey... Burlington County in southern New Jersey...

* Until 445 PM EDT.

* At 338 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Atsion, or 23 miles southeast of Gloucester City, moving north at 25 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible.

* Locations impacted include... Evesham, Willingboro, Medford, Hammonton, Lumberton, Burlington, Mount Holly, Berlin, Tabernacle, Shamong, Presidential Lakes Estates, Chesilhurst, Pemberton, Wrightstown, Atsion, Leisuretowne, Chatsworth, Jacksonville, Georgetown and Atco. This includes Interstate 295 in New Jersey between mile markers 42 and 55.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CAMDEN, NJ ... ATLANTIC, NJ ... OCEAN, NJ ... BURLINGTON, NJ

Instructions:

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in Mount Holly NJ. In addition to large hail and damaging winds, frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
