A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for our area until 2:30PM. Monitor the weather through the evening for additional warnings.

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
North central Ocean County in southern New Jersey...
Southeastern Monmouth County in central New Jersey...

* Until 230 PM EDT.

* At 144 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Jackson, or
11 miles northwest of Toms River, moving north at 20 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Wind damage to
roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible.

* Locations impacted include...
Toms River, Lakewood, Jackson, Howell, Tinton Falls, Farmingdale,
Leisure Village, Allenwood, East Freehold, Jacksons Mills, Leisure
Village East, West Freehold, Cassville, Adelphia, Vista Center,
Ramtown, Collingwood Park, Freewood Acres, Yorketown and Cedar Glen
West.

This includes the following highways...
Garden State Parkway between mile markers 88 and 106.
Interstate 195 in New Jersey between mile markers 20 and 34.

building.

agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service
