Fairview PD invites all to Columbus Park (6th St), 6pm, 8/6/19 for our annual National Night Out celebration.

The Fairview Police Department is inviting the community to participate in a special event!

Join us for our annual National Night Out celebration. This year we will be hosting the event at Columbus Park on 6th St. The event starts at 6pm on Tuesday, Aug 6th. There will be live entertainment and a special performance by Bookem (see bio below) and the Bridges Team. The event is free to all. There will be plenty of fun for all ages. Food will be provided FREE of charge.

Come out for this fun event and get a chance to meet you local police officers, firefighters and local officials. There will be a special live performance by Bookem.

has been a Hudson County Sheriff's Officer for 14 years. He was born in Jersey City, raised in Bayonne, and is a current resident of Fairview. He is the father of 3 girls.

SO Rivera currently runs a program that he created called the "BRIDGES" program, which is a program set on building relationships between police and community through music. He has been mentoring inner city kids for the last 5 years. He feels that police officers must be "a part" of the community not "APART" from the community. He recently produced a song and video with a student (Spazz) from Lincoln High School, Jersey City, who he mentors his Bridges program. The song is called "Make it out". Check out the link to Make it Out and check out other videos by Bookem. His messages through music are on point with what true community policing (with youth) should be about in our community.
