On August 2, 2019 at about 11:17pm, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office was called regarding two subjects who had been shot on the 1200 block of Barlow Street.
One of the victims was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
On August 5, the Coroner identified him as 40-year-old Carlos Ramiro Venegas of Bakersfield.
The second victim suffered moderate injuries, and was taken to the hospital.
No arrests have been made.
