The following is the August 5, 2019 update for road closures and detours occurring in the Downtown New Egypt area.    * N. Main Street will be closed between Lakewood Road and Bright Road. Only emergency and local traffic access will be permitted in this area. Detours are set up to get around the closed section of N. Main Street utilizing Lakewood Road, and Moorehouse Road.   * Magnolia Avenue (Phase 2) will be closed between Cedar Street and Applegate Lane. Only emergency and local traffic access will be permitted in this area. Detours are set up to get around the closed section of Magnolia Avenue utilizing N. Main Street, Lakewood Road, and Applegate Lane. A map of this detour is provided. This detour will be in effect ‪from Monday, August 5, 2019 through August 16, 2019‬.   * Oakford Avenue will be closed ‪from Monday, August 5, 2019 through August 16, 2019‬. Only emergency and local traffic access will be permitted in this area during the closure.
