Situation on Tennessee Lane Has Been Safely Resolved

Update as of 2:45 p.m. on Saturday: we have taken the suspect safely into custody and recovered his handgun. We will have a news release out later today once the suspect has been booked into jail. We are very appreciative of the assistance of our partners from the Mountain View Police Department, the Los Altos Police Department, the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety, the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office, the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office, and the Stanford Department of Public Safety over the course of the past 29 hours. We'll have more details out later today.

Original message from yesterday follows:

Happening Now: Officers are on scene in the 300 block of Tennessee Lane, attempting to negotiate the surrender of an adult male domestic violence suspect inside his private residence. No one else is inside the home and the female victim is safe and with police. The suspect may be armed with a handgun. Our officers have the scene contained and there is no danger to the community. We are working to safely resolve this situation.
