DETAILS:  Ptl. Erkoboni responded to Cranbury Rd. on the complaint of a silver Hyundai sedan swerving in the roadway and driving over curbs. Ptl. Erkoboni located the vehicle and initiated a stop. During the stop, it was determined that the driver, Rosemarie Griffin was DWI. Her 5 year old child was seated in the back seat of the car and was asleep. Griffin was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at Mercer County Superior Court.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Erkoboni initiated a stop on a blue BMW sedan for speeding on Route 1. During the stop, Lyric Ree’von Christine Dunn, a passenger in the vehicle, provided false names and dates of birth to Ptl. Erkoboni. After her true identity was established, it was found that she was a Wanted Person out of Ohio and Virginia, and had used false names to avoid being arrested. Dunn was processed at WWPD Headquarters. She was then transported to the Mercer County Correction Center to await extradition to Virginia.

DETAILS:  Patrol units were detailed to Berrien City on the report of two individuals using flashlights to look into parked vehicles in a driveway. Officers were unable to locate the suspects, but discovered that two unlocked vehicles had been entered and property stolen from inside.

DETAILS:  Ptl. LaForge investigated a theft of wallet from the Seasons 52 restaurant where the following was reported: While the victim was seated at the bar, she hung her purse on the back of her chair. Approximately 45 minutes later, she received a fraud alert advising her that purchases were made using her credit card at Target in Monmouth Junction. When she checked her purse, she realized her wallet had been taken. She recalled that three black females in their 20’s were very close to where she was seated, and kept bumping into her chair and purse. The women were only there for 10 minutes and left without ordering anything.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Erkoboni initiated a stop on a gray Nissan sedan for an expired temporary registration tag and a rear brake light out. During the stop, the registered owner who was a passenger in the vehicle, Tierra Fuqua-Holder was found to have two active warrants for her arrest from Franklin Township. She was processed at WWPD Headquarters, bail was posted for her, and she was released pending a future date at Franklin Municipal Court.

DATE & TIME OCCURRED:  Between 7/17/19 & 7/19/19
 
LOCATION OCCURRED:  Princeton Terrace apartments
 
OFFICER:  Ptl. C. Crawford #5108         
 
DETAILS:  Ptl. Crawford investigated a Theft by Deception where the following was reported: On 7/17/19 and 7/18/19, the victim received voicemails claiming to be from the IRS advising him that he needed to speak with an agent. On 7/19/19, he answered a call from someone claiming to be from the IRS. He was told that his social security number had been compromised and that it was linked to drug trafficking and money laundering, and there was a warrant for his arrest. He was then asked for the phone number of his local police department and he provided West Windsor Police Department’s phone number. He later received a phone call with a Caller ID spoofing the West Windsor Police Department phone number he had provided. Someone identifying themself as an officer of WWPD, instructed him to send money converted to bitcoin to various bitcoin wallets, to avoid being arrested. He then withdrew money from his bank accounts, and using different bitcoin ATM’s, sent $16,800.00 to several different bitcoin wallets.

While at WWPD Headquarters, it was determined that he had two warrants for his arrest from Trenton, and two additional warrants from Hamilton. Lefebre was processed and released pending future Court dates in Trenton and Hamilton.

DETAILS:  Patrol units were detailed to the Charter Club development for several reports of two suspicious people in a white work van who were soliciting to do clean-up work in the neighborhood, one day after a storm left many neighborhoods in West Windsor without power. In addition, it was reported that they were getting into confrontations with some of the neighbors. The van and its occupants were located, and during the investigation, Andre Alexander was found to have active warrants for his arrest from New Brunswick and Old Bridge Township. Alexander was processed at WWPD Headquarters and transported to the Mercer County Correction Center to await pickup by the New Brunswick Police Department.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Erkoboni initiated a stop on a black Pontiac sedan after a random license plate inquiry indicated that the owner of the car had a suspended driving privilege. During the stop, Craig Daves Jr. was found to be in possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, a marijuana grinder, a glass smoking pipe, and a metal storage container with trace amounts of marijuana. Daves Jr. was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at West Windsor Municipal Court.

Messina was processed at WWPD Headquarters, bail was posted for him, and he was released pending future Court dates in Ewing and Trenton.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Montgomery investigated the theft of a wallet where the following was reported: The victim was shopping at Trader Joe’s and had her wallet in the shopping cart she was using. When she went to pay for her groceries, she realized her wallet was missing. When she went to cancel her credit cards, she discovered that several thousand dollars worth of purchases had already been made using her credit cards at stores in West Windsor and Lawrence Township.

DETAILS:  Patrol units were detailed to the Clarion Hotel on the report of suspicious activity, possibly prostitution, occurring in one of the rooms. During the investigation, Desiree Carlin was found to be a Wanted Person out of Gloucester County (NJ), and Kristine Malinowski was found to have two warrants for her arrest from Plainfield. Both parties were processed at WWPD Headquarters. Malinowski was released pending a future date at Plainfield Municipal Court. Carlin was released and advised to report to Criminal Case Management, Gloucester County during business hours.
