Drug deal robbery results in 3 arrests, 2 subjects injured. Drugs and counterfeit money recovered.

A marijuana deal turned into a robbery Tuesday night, 7/30/2019, in Folsom and landed 3 suspects behind bars. Officers were called to the intersection of Oxburough Drive and Whiting Way around 10:30 P.M. for a group of males fighting.  When officers arrived, they found a fight still going on, with several people in a car, trying to drive away.  Officers determined that a group of teenage males had arranged to buy marijuana from an 18-year-old man from Folsom.

During the deal, the buyers struck and kicked the victim repeatedly, and took the marijuana.  The victim was trying to recover the marijuana when police arrived.  The victim was transported to an area hospital with moderate injuries, and was later released. No additional information is available about his injuries. One of the suspects suffered an ankle injury during the robbery and was also treated and released from an area hospital.

Police recovered suspected marijuana, hash oil and counterfeit money from the suspects.  Two of the suspects, Andrew Argi Sanderes, 18, of Folsom, and Gabriel L Katz, 18, also of Folsom, were booked into the Sacramento County jail.  Police will be seeking charges for robbery, battery with injury, and conspiracy to commit a crime. Robert Anthony Perez Jr, 18, of Mather, was released to obtain medical treatment and will be referred to the district attorney for the same charges.  A 16-year-old minor was booked into the Sacramento County Juvenile Hall for robbery, battery with injury, and conspiracy to commit a crime.  A 15-year-old minor was cited for similar charges and released to a parent.

The case will be reviewed and additional charges may be sought, including possession of marijuana for sale by the victim.  Mug shots of Katz (blond hair) and Sanders (brown hair) are attached.  No additional information is available at this time.
