Good afternoon.

We are currently experiencing a heat emergency in the City of Melrose. We expect that temperatures will exceed 90 degrees today, Monday, July 29, and tomorrow, Tuesday, July 30. 

If you need a place to stay cool during the day, the Melrose Public Library is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and the Milano Center is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

If you are experiencing distress due to the heat, please call the Fire Department on their non-emergency line, 781-979-4401. If this is a medical emergency, please call 911.
