On Friday, July 26th at approximately 8:44 pm, a Shorewood man was the victim of an armed robbery in the parking garage adjacent to Walgreen's, 4035 N Oakland Ave.
The victim walked out of the store and got into his vehicle at which time the suspect approached and opened the car door. The suspect demanded the victim's wallet, stating that he had a gun. The victim got out of the car to retrieve his wallet, at which point the suspect got into the vehicle and drove away. The vehicle was last seen southbound on Bartlett towards Capitol Drive. No gun was displayed by the suspect and there were no injuries reported.
Taken was a 2006 Toyota Corolla 4-door, gray in color.
The suspect was described as a male, black, 30's in age, approximately 5'9", medium build.
