LAAPOA Releases Survey Results on Chief David Maggard's Leadership
Back in January, LAAPOA conducted an LAXPD management survey independent of the department, asking our members to rate the leadership capabilities and qualities of police department leaders, with the full intent of publishing it as soon as it was completed. But at the request of Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) Chief Executive Officer Deborah Flint, we were asked not to release the results until after the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) finished conducting its nationwide search to fill the Deputy Executive Director for Law Enforcement and Homeland Security position.
Since LAWA announced yesterday that an extensive "nationwide" search resulted in simply promoting LAXPD Chief David L. Maggard Jr. to the vacant Deputy Executive Director for Law Enforcement and Homeland Security position, we felt now is the time to release the survey results regarding his leadership.
A staggering 80% of Los Angeles Airport Police officers responded to this survey, with 7 out of 10 not in favor or having little to no confidence in the effectiveness and integrity of the Maggard regime.
