Road Rage Incident Leads to Firearm Arrest
On Wednesday July 24, 2019 at 8:05 pm Fairfield Police arrested 28-year-old Sacramento resident Brandon Jackson for threatening a female motorist with a handgun. The female driver called 911 to report that the vehicle driven by Jackson had thrown an object at her car while on I-80 prior to the N. Texas Street off ramp. Both vehicles exited eastbound I-80 coming to a stop next to each other at a red light. It was at this point where Jackson produced a handgun and pointed it at the female driver as he was yelling at her. The female quickly drove off as Jackson made a left turn, heading back towards the freeway.
Fairfield Police Officers were in the area quickly and located Jackson’s vehicle driving eastbound on I-80. With the assistance of the California Highway Patrol and the Vacaville Police Department Jackson was stopped on the freeway. Jackson was positively identified and arrested without incident. A search of his vehicle produced the illegally possessed firearm used in this crime.
Jackson was booked into Solano County Jail on a weapons violation, and criminal threats.
