On Tuesday, July 16th, 2019 Stanislaus County Sheriff Deputies were involved in an incident with a man who had an altered state on Imperial Ave. in Modesto. After taking the man into custody he began to have a medical emergency and was transported to Doctors Medical Center where he died. The man has been identified as Rudy Santillan, 36 years old from Modesto.

The Stanislaus County Sheriff Deputies involved in the incident are:

Eric Torres (16 Years with the Sheriff’s Department)
Dustin Willey (3 Years with the Sheriff’s Department)
Alberto Navarro (2 Years with the Sheriff’s Department)
Eric Garcia (4 Years with the Sheriff’s Department)
Benjamin Carnes (2 Years with the Sheriff’s Department)
Barry Balance (22 Years with the Sheriff’s Department)
Morin Yom (6 Months with the Sheriff’s Department)
Colton Hughes (1 Year with the Sheriff’s Department)
Robert Domingos (1 Year with the Sheriff’s Department)
Sergeant Danny Anderson (11 Years with the Sheriff’s Department)

The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department is planning on releasing the body worn camera video of the incident. We are currently working with investigators and our attorney to make this happen.
