Tuesday, August 6th is National Night Out for Lamorinda!
Lamorinda’s National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes first responder-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.
National Night Out provides a great opportunity to bring police officers, firefighters, local officials and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August. Neighborhoods have hosted block parties, festivals, BBQs, Ice Cream Socials, and various other events with visits from emergency personnel and local government officials.
An event can be as simple or as complex as you like. The goal is to get to know our first responders, exchange information and build our Lamorinda community.
