This day two years ago members of our community, #GTPD and the Cassabria family lost our beloved Nico Cassabria (son of GTPD Telecommunicator Stephanie Cassabria). He was and always will be a spunky kid who loved Mario, video games and Pokémon. He touched the lives of not only the people around him but around the country. He made sure that he stood for a cause even being so young. He had a cancer called Neuroblastoma that is a rare cancer and wanted to create awareness of it and hoped one day to find a cure for childhood cancer. Although he’s no longer physically with us we will always remember him and his cause!! So we’ll celebrate the memories of him and how amazing he was.
#GTPD Joe Thomson was so touched by Nico and knew how much he loved Police K9s he named his very own K9 Nico to honor him. You can see him next to the Nico Memorial at the park on State Street in the Blackwood Estates Development. No one fights alone. #NicosArmy #GTPD #WeWillNeverForget
