DETAILS:  Det. Jelinski initiated a stop on a maroon sedan for speeding on Quakerbridge Rd. During the stop, it was determined that the driver, Jason Johns, had a warrant for his arrest out of Edison, and had a suspended license. Johns was processed at WWPD Headquarters, and after posting bail, he was released pending a future Court date at Edison Municipal Court.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Crawford stopped to check on a disabled vehicle that was on the side of the road near the Holman GO used car dealership. The tan Mazda sedan had no lights on and the passenger side door was open. During the investigation, it was determined that the driver, Bharani Sarangan, was DWI and had struck the curb on the side of the road which caused a flat tire. Sarangan was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at West Windsor Municipal Court.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Jany was detailed to an unconscious motorist behind the wheel of a silver Subaru wagon that was stopped in the roadway on New Edinburg Rd. Officers arrived to find the driver, Kunitaka Tai, still unconscious and difficult to awaken despite Ptl. Abade yelling and shaking him. The vehicle was also still in drive. During the investigation, Tai was found to be DWI, and to be in possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Tai was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending future dates at West Windsor Municipal Court.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Montgomery and Detective Jelinski investigated the theft of scratch-off NJ Lottery tickets from the 7-Eleven where the following was determined: During the course of four days, and while employed by 7-Eleven, Shadi Khorram, would take NJ scratch-off lottery tickets and scan them to see if they were winning tickets. If they were winners, she would cash-in for the prize amount, while losing tickets were discarded. This resulted in a loss of over $2,500.00 between the 7-Eleven and the NJ Lottery Commission. Det. Jelinski followed-up the investigation and arrested Khorram on 7/09/19. She was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at Mercer County Superior Court.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Erkoboni was detailed to Target for an employee theft. Investigation determined the following: During a sales promotion, Target was offering a gift card with the purchase of a cell phone. It was discovered by another employee, that the gift card could be issued with the purchase of just a SIM card which cost $1.00. Using this hack several times, Hersey was able to obtain $240.00 worth of gift cards. Hersey was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at Mercer County Superior Court.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Mahon was detailed to Wegmans for a shoplifter being detained by Asset Protection. Investigation determined the following: Shanta Charles selected chicken wings from the hot food buffet and put them into a container. She then proceeded to eat the wings, and when she was done, she left the store without paying for the food she ate. Charles was suspected of having done this same thing numerous times before. Charles was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at West Windsor Municipal Court.

During the investigation, Destiny Wea was found to have an active warrant for her arrest from Mansfield Twp., and her vehicle was determined to be unregistered and uninsured. Wea was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future Court date at Mansfield Municipal Court.

DETAILS:  During routine patrol, Ptl. Robles observed a red Chrysler sedan with dark tints on all passenger windows driving around slowly in the parking lot. The vehicle would then park in a space for a short time, then drive around the parking lot again and park in a different space. He observed this suspicious behavior several times so he initiated a stop on the vehicle to investigate further. During the stop, Cameron Strawser was found to be in possession of a grinder and glass smoking device which both contained marijuana residue. Stawser was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at West Windsor Municipal Court.

DETAILS:  Patrol officers responded to Target for a shoplifting involving a female suspect who exited the store and was seated in her vehicle. Officers located the vehicle in the parking lot, and Samantha Cooper got out and started walking back towards the store. Cooper was detained, and investigation determined that Cooper had selected and then concealed articles of clothing in her purse which she did not pay for. She was also found to have an active warrant for her arrest from Ewing Twp. Copper was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending future Municipal Court dates in West Windsor and Ewing.
