On July 15, 2019, at 11:06 p.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a report of a disturbance in the Sandy’s Pizza Parking lot located at 609 S Main Street in Fort Branch. Upon arriving in the area Sergeant John Fischer and Deputy Tim Speedy located a dark Green passenger vehicle in the parking lot and began an investigation into the call. Upon approaching the vehicle Sgt. Fischer and Deputy Speedy attempted to separate the people in the car in an attempt to investigate the verbal disturbance. However, a passenger in the vehicle 40 year old Franklin Joshua Seals of Mount Carmel began to resist Deputy Speedy. At that point with the assistance of Sgt. Fischer Mr. Seals was placed into custody. At the conclusion of their investigation Sgt. Fischer placed Mr. Seals in his vehicle and transported him to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jail Mr. Seals was charged Resisting Law Enforcement. Mr. Seals remains in custody on a $1,000 bond.

Assisting Sgt. Fischer and Deputy Speedy in their investigation was Deputy Loren Barchett and Princeton Officer Lincoln Edwards.
