An inmate in the Sonoma County Jail has died and detectives were called in to investigate the incident. The incident began shortly after 10:00 PM tonight when correctional deputies found a man unconscious alone in his cell. Deputies attempted efforts to save the man but were unsuccessful.
Detectives from the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office have been called in to investigate the incident. At this time the inmate's name is not being released and more information will be released as soon as details become available.
