July 8th

Mail Theft – 700 block of Kearney St:
An officer reports an unknown suspect forced open a row of apartment mailboxes using an unknown tool and stole mail.

Burglary – 100 block of Carmel Ave:
An officer reports an unknown suspect forced open a locked side gate to access the rear of the vacant residence.

Warrant Arrest – Cutting Boulevard and Peerless Avenue:
An officer conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested the passenger, a 53-year-old male from Alameda, for two outstanding warrants. The male was booked and taken to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Burglary – 10600 block of San Pablo Avenue:
An officer reports an unknown suspect entered the business, broke into five lockers, and removed property.

July 9th

Burglary - 10636 San Pablo Ave (24 Hour Fitness):
An officer reported two more lockers were broken into at 24-Hour Fitness last night.

Carjacking – 11450 San Pablo Ave (Safeway):
An officer reports the elderly female victim parked her Toyota Prius in the parking lot. After parking her vehicle, an unknown suspect approached the victim, and forced her to turn over her keys. The suspect then fled the area in the stolen Prius.

Drunk in Public – Eureka Avenue and Kearney Street:
At 9:32 pm, an officer reports the arrest of a 42-year-old male from Albany for being drunk in public. The man was arrested and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Warrant Arrest – El Cerrito Plaza:
At 2:05 am, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 39-year-old male for an outstanding warrant. The male was taken into custody and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

July 10th

Residential Burglary – 7700 block of Eureka Avenue:
At 7:36 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect entered the victim’s residence via an unlocked door. The suspect ransacked the interior and took property belonging to the victim.

Warrant Arrest – San Pablo Avenue and Wall Avenue:
At 3:55 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested the driver, a 34-year-old male from Richmond, for an outstanding warrant. The male was taken into custody and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

July 12th

Theft – 1000 block of Contra Costa Dr:
At 10:02 am, a CSO reports an unknown suspect stole property from the victim’s unlocked vehicle.

Driving Under the Influence – San Pablo Avenue at Stockton Ave:
An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and discovered the driver was intoxicated. The driver was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and released to a sober friend.

July 13th

Auto Burglary - 295 EC Plaza (Plaza Coin Laundry):

At 5:30 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke the window to the victim’s Jeep and removed property before fleeing the area.

Auto Burglary – 7400 block of Rockway Avenue:
At 2:40 am, the victim heard glass breaking, went outside, and saw the right rear window to their vehicle had been shattered. An officer responded to the scene and learned that property had been stolen from the vehicle.

Driving Under the Influence – Moeser Lane at Terrace Drive:
An officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle and determined the driver had been consuming alcohol. A DUI investigation was conducted and the driver was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and released to a sober friend.


July 14th

Domestic Violence – 900 block of Lexington Ave:
At 12:20 pm, an officer reports the arrest of a 31-year-old male after it was determined the male assaulted his girlfriend during a verbal altercation. The man was later transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Residential Burglary – 5900 block of Barrett Ave:
At 3:33 pm, an officer responded to the report of a residential burglary. Follow up investigation reveled that a 51-year-old man was found in possession of some of the stolen property from inside the home. The man was arrested and later transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Residential Burglary – 700 block of Ashbury Avenue:
An officer responded to the report of a home being burglarized. The officer learned that a suspect had forced open the back door and stole property from within the home.

Theft from Auto – 1000 El Cerrito Plaza (Luckys):
At 5:15 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke the window to the victim’s Tesla and rummaged through the interior without taking anything from inside.

July 15th
Auto Burglary – 9895 San Pablo Ave (Peet’s):
At 6:17 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke the window to the victim’s Nissan and stole a backpack containing a laptop and other property.

Residential Burglary – 700 block of Ashbury Ave:
At 1:29 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect forced entry into the residence and stole property.

Strong Arm Robbery – 11821 San Pablo Ave (McDonalds):
At 12:13 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect approached the victim from behind as the victim was entering his vehicle. The suspect pushed the victim out of the way and removed several courier bags from inside the passenger compartment.

Stolen License Plate – 1300 block of Liberty St:
At 2:32 pm, a CSO reports an unknown suspect stole the front license plate from a vehicle parked on the street.

Residential Burglary – 500 block of Albemarle Street:
An officer responded to the report of a residential burglary. The officer discovered that a suspect had pried open a window and stole property from within the home.

Spousal Battery – 1300 block of Noble Court:
An officer arrested a woman after she assaulted her boyfriend during an argument. The woman was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
