Flood Advisory until 10:00PM

The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for Poor Drainage Areas for... Northeastern St. John The Baptist Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Northwestern St. Tammany Parish in southeastern Louisiana... East central Livingston Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Southern Tangipahoa Parish in southeastern Louisiana...

* Until 1000 PM CDT.

* At 702 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause urban and small stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Hammond, Covington, Amite, Ponchatoula, Amite City, Independence, Madisonville, Folsom, Springfield, Natalbany, Robert, Killian and Tickfaw. Additional rainfall of 2 to 4 inches is expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

* AFFECTED AREAS: TANGIPAHOA, LA ... ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST, LA ... LIVINGSTON, LA ... ST. TAMMANY, LA
