Police Seek the public's help in identifying robbery suspects

Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the below pictured male suspects in a robbery that occurred on Monday, July 8, 2019.

At approximately 5:30 a.m., police responded to the 200 block of South 7th Street on a call of a robbery. A man was robbed and assaulted by two males who exited a green 2010 Honda Accord and took the victim’s black book bag, containing $5,000.00 in cash. The suspects then re-entered the vehicle and fled the area. The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment and released.

While police are actively searching for these suspects, we seek the public’s help in quickly identifying them so that they can be removed from our streets.

Director Ambrose urges anyone with information about these suspects to call the Department's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477) or 1-877-NWK-GUNS (1-877-695-4867). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.

Anonymous tips may also be made using the Police Division’s website at: www.newarkpd.org or through the Newark Police Division Smartphone App available at iTunes and Google Play.
