SUSPECT(S): Keikei Freeman, 20 years old, resident of San Bernardino
Ricardo Jenkins, 27 years old, resident of Crestline
Two male juveniles

VICTIM: Spectrum Wireless

SUMMARY:
On June 25, 2019, deputies responded to a reported robbery that just occurred at the Spectrum Wireless store. Deputies were on scene within three minutes of the call being dispatched and quickly established a perimeter. A sheriff's helicopter responded to assist, and numerous residents came forward as witnesses to the crime and the subsequent flight of the four suspects.

Initial investigation revealed the suspect fled from the Spectrum Wireless store to a vehicle parked several businesses east of the victim business. When the suspects could not start the vehicle, they fled into the surrounding Chapman Heights neighborhood. Deputies began searching the area of foot, moving through yards and brush. With the assistance of residents, the first three suspects - Freeman and the two juveniles - were located hiding in the area and taken into custody without incident. Despite a lengthy search that included deputies, a helicopter and a tracking bloodhound, the fourth suspect, (Jenkins) eluded capture.

Within a few hours, detectives took over the case and identified the outstanding suspect as Ricardo Jenkins, who was found to be on parole for a prior weapons violation. The search for Jenkins was turned over to the Sheriff's Specialized Enforcement Division (SED). Over the weeks that followed, SED developed information that led them to a residence in Victorville City.

On July 12, 2019, Jenkins was taken into custody in Victorville by SED personnel without incident.

Although Jenkins is in custody, Yucaipa Detectives are still asking for the public's help in this case. If you had contact with Jenkins in Yucaipa on or around June 25, 2019, or if you purchased or received a cell phone or other electronic items from Jenkins or have any other information pertinent to this case, please contact Detective Cantu at the Yucaipa Station.

Jenkins and Freeman were both booked into the Central Detention Center. Jenkins and Freeman, as well as the two juveniles, will face multiple felony charges, including robbery.
